Variations on the buy-local concept can be found just about everywhere, but all have the same goal: reminding people of the importance of patronizing their local businesses. Forest County has over 200 businesses offering a wide variety of goods and services, and you’ve probably never heard of many of them. While they may not be able to satisfy every need of all our residents, they can certainly fill most of them. FCBA’s original buy local program has been re-branded as “Find it in Forest” and includes a travelling featured business banner, window clings, posters, and other promotion tools for participating businesses. Monthly banner ads and “Member Spotlight” articles are featured in the Forest Press, on our website, and on our Facebook page. This is a tiered participation program with both free and paid levels for FCBA members. Non-members may also participate in the program for a fee.
