What are the benefits of an FCBA membership? We currently offer the following benefits to our members. However, we are constantly searching for ways that the Alliance can develop additional programs, services, tools, or opportunities that will benefit our members. If you have an idea for how we can help our members grow their businesses or make running their business easier, we invite your suggestions!
- Low or no-cost Access to FCBA workshops –
These are seminars and workshops on subjects such as Social Media, Brochure Design, Website Development, Frontline Hospitality Training, Developing a Marketing Plan, Building a Succession Plan, and more. Again, suggestions are always welcome! Members are offered no-cost or low-cost admission to these events, which are presented by our local, regional and state partner agencies or by professionals.
- Free basic listing in the FCBA’s annual Member Directory –
Every member receives a basic (text only) listing in the printed Directory, which is also available as a printable PDF on our website. The printed directory is distributed at FCBA member businesses, libraries, real estate offices and the Forest County Visitor Center.
- Free participation in the FCBA’s “Support Your Community – Buy Local” program –
There is no cost to participate in the FCBA’s “Buy Local” program. FCBA members are provided with one “Buy Local” window cling at no cost and have access to program posters and bag stuffers in PDF format to print as needed. Members may also submit their “Buy Local” promotions for inclusion in website and newspaper promotion by the FCBA. “Buy Local” logo banners are available at FCBA’s cost for just $50.00 each and The Forest Press frequently offers advertising specials for a “Buy Local” page.
- Member Spotlight articles featuring a different member each month on our website and in the Forest Press –
In 2014 we will begin running articles featuring an FCBA member in The Forest Press under our “Buy Local” banner ad. Members will be chosen at random each month and contacted for information to include in the article.
- Business Expo –
This annual event offers our members the opportunity to introduce themselves and their goods or services to local residents with displays, samples, brochures and giveaways. FCBA members are distinguished by tabletop signs and invited to participate at no cost. Held in conjunction with open house events at the Forest Area Schools, participants are guaranteed a good attendance by hundreds of parents of the students. The FCBA also promotes this event heavily locally with ads, signs and articles in newspapers and online.
- Meet & Greet Events –
Held every spring and fall, Membership Meet & Greet events take place at a restaurant in both Tionesta and Marienville, giving members an opportunity to introduce themselves and network with other local businesses. The Alliance’s leadership also provides updates on current and planned efforts of the organization and opportunities for our members. Potential members are invited to attend to learn more and hear directly from FCBA members why they should join the Alliance. Admission to these events is free and includes snacks and beverages, door prizes and the opportunity to promote your business through brochure or business card distribution and giveaway items.
